It was a busy transfer window for Premier League clubs as they fought to improve their squads with arrivals who could perhaps give them a good chance of challenging for silverware.
The biggest transfer of the recent window, and by some way too, was Kai Havertz's €80 million (R1.5 billion) move from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen to Frank Lampard's Chelsea.
Havertz was one of the most sought-after young players in world football, and will undoubtedly bring entertainment to the Premier League, which is widely regarded as one of the world's toughest leagues.
Portugal defender Ruben Dias was the second-most expensive deal after his move from Benfica to Manchester City for €68 million (R1.3 billion), and he has already made his debut for Pep Guardiola's side, doing so in a 1-1 draw with Leeds United before the recent international break.
The third biggest transfer of the EPL window was Timo Werner's exciting switch from RB Leipzig to Chelsea, where he has teamed up with Germany colleague Havertz already to put in some positive performances for the Blues.
Yet another Chelsea signing is on the list, with Ben Chilwell coming in at fourth following his arrival from Leicester City, while Arsenal's €50 million (R974 million) signing of Thomas Partey was the EPL window's fifth biggest transfer.
