Rumours suggest that Messi could move to Inter Milan after reportedly growing disillusioned at Barcelona.

The Nerazzurri are believed to be looking into luring the six-time Ballon d'Or winner to Serie A, and reports that his father Jorge Messi, who is also his agent, bought a flat in Milan ignited the speculation further.

However, it remains to be seen whether or not the 33-year-old still wants to leave the Blaugrana after they appointed Ronald Koeman as their new manager after both Quique Setien and sporting director Eric Abidal left the club.

Messi is not the only superstar linked with a big move, though, as longstanding rival Ronaldo could also leave his current employers.

According to France Football, the 35-year-old is not entirely happy at Juventus and even dreamed of joining Paris Saint-Germain before the coronavirus pandemic put a lot more financial pressure on football clubs.

Juve, too, recently sacked their manager, with Andrea Pirlo replacing Maurizio Sarri. One of the new coach's first tasks will be to ensure that Ronaldo stays and buys into his ambitious targets for the 2020/21 campaign.

Messi and Ronaldo aside, there are several other potential big moves in this window, despite the financial impact of COVID-19 and football without fans present in the stadia.

Jadon Sancho is said to be Manchester United's No. 1 target, but Borussia Dortmund are holding out for a fee of 120 million (R2.5 billion) for the 20-year-old.

United are believed to prepared to meet the asking price in instalments, and are said to have already agreed personal terms with Sancho, but talks between the clubs stalled recently.
