The Los Blancos winger got the host nation off to a great start at the Olympics in Tokyo, scoring a goal that fans in Spain, particularly at youth level, have become used to seeing from him.
After bringing down a long pass, the dangerous 20-year-old moved the ball onto his tricky left foot before unleashing a venomous but accurate strike past SuperSport United goalkeeper Ronwen Williams at the far post.

Following their victory over David Notoane's South Africa, Japan will take on Mexico next in Group A.
What's the latest on his future?
This month, the youngster returned to Los Blancos from a loan spell at Getafe, whom he joined in January this year after spending the first half of the 2020/21 campaign on loan at Unai Emery's Villarreal.
Reports suggest that Kubo will once again be sent out on loan, with Real Sociedad emerging as a potential destination for the former Barcelona youth academy player.
