Swallows defender reveals reason why he failed at Kaizer Chiefs.

Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Keegan Richie did not take long to find a club after his former team Bidvest Wits was sold to TTM.The left back has went back home and joined Swallows, a team that gave him his first big break in the professional ranks. Richie made a name for himself at the Dube Birds before going on to sign for arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs. His stay at Amakhosi was not as successful as he would have liked as he struggled to cement a regular starting berth in the team.Speaking to weekly football publication Soccer Laduma, the experienced left back believes his move to Naturena did not come at the right time which is why he never made much impact at the club.“I went to Chiefs a bit too young, you know. I was a bit inexperienced and I would say there were a lot of big players at Chiefs at the time, the Shabbas (Siphiwe Tshabalala), the Yeyes (Reneilwe Letsholonyane), Jimmy Tau and (Itumeleng) Khune, guys that were established. It was a bit intimidating for me as a youngster, to be honest with you. Maybe I was a bit too young, you know” - said Richie.Comment, like and share.
