Swallows FC assistant coach Simo Dladla has hinted that one of the clubs new signings is close to getting into the starting line-up at the club.
Mwape Musonda is yet to start for the Dube Birds since joining the club before the start of the season, even though they are struggling for goals at the moment.
Swallows will host Cape Town City in the second leg MTN8 semi-final this evening, with the clubs sharing the spoils in their last two meetings.
With the score goalless going into the second leg, Swallows will need to ensure they convert the chances they create.
"With Mwape Musonda, his quality is second to none. he is a good player, but like you said he is struggling for game-time. We've been working on his fitness levels and his conditioning, but more especially his confidence. he is a player who can score one goal and we will see the rainfall of goals after that one goal," Dladla told media in a press conference.
"That's why we are sparingly using him, so that he gets the confidence back and the feel of the ball and he gets the feel of his teammates and so they understand his strengths and weaknesses. He is going to start any time soon. I am looking (forward) to good performances from him."
At the back, Swallows have been boosted by the return of defender Wandisile Letlabika from injury.
"With the injury list, we were missing Wandisile Letlabika. I amd happy to say that he is back. He might start, he might not start. I am looking at us and I am confident that we have the full complement of the squad," Dladla said.
