There has been speculation surrounding the Welshman's future at Los Blancos, however, the Daily Mail have now reported that Bale is keen to revive his career in Spain.
Coming through the youth system at Southampton, Bale was regarded as one of Britain's brightest young left-backs, but after his move to Tottenham Hotspur, he was soon transformed into a winger.
At left-wing for Spurs, Bale looked at his best, even scoring a memorable hat-trick against Inter Milan in a Champions League group match in 2010, along with many great performances.
However, when Bale made the world-record transfer move to Real, Carlo Ancelotti opted to start the player on the right-wing - perhaps not his most natural position.
Although his first season in Spain was impressive, Bale's second season has arguably been one to forget, with abuse from fans, and heaps of criticism from football pundits.
After being linked with moves back to England, with reported interest from Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United, it's now being said that Bale is keen to stay in Madrid.
Reports suggest that the 25-year-old's representatives have met with the club to hold talks over a positional change, with his suited position reportedly being on the left-wing.
It has been said that the club's President, Florentino Perez, is open to see what changes could be made to get the best out of last season's £86 million investment.
