FC Barcelona defender Gerard Pique and his superstar wife Shakira have allegedly been blackmailed over a sex tape.

The 28-year-old and the singer have reportedly been threatened by a former employee, as claimed by Spanish newspaper El Diario Vasco.
It has been suggested that Pique and his Colombian wife have been threatened with the release of an intimate sex video of theirs if they don't pay an as yet unknown amount of money.
The couple have neither dismissed nor confirmed the reports, and Mirror Sport have contacted Pique's agent to get an official statement and are awaiting a reply.

The alleged blackmailing is the second sex-tape scandal in the football world in recent weeks, after Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema was accused of being involved in the attempted extortion of France teammate Mathieu Valbuena.
