Real Madrid are reportedly looking at the potential of signing one of Manchester City's stars.
According to Foot Mercato, Los Blancos are exploring the possibility of luring Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez to the Santiago Bernabeu.
The LaLiga giants have reportedly made contact with the 29-year-old's entourage, but a deal for the tricky winger may rely on a number of factors.
Mahrez still has three years to run on his contract with City, while Real would also need to potentially move Gareth Bale off of their books to free up the funds.
The Welshman currently takes a net salary of €15 million (R298 million) per year in Madrid, and with Bale already frozen out of Zinedine Zidane's team, they will be looking to free up those funds for potential new signings.
There is no word from the City camp as to whether they would entertain offers for the former Leicester City star, or what their valuation of the player would be.
It is understood there has been no formal approach to City as yet, but Real have started to look at the possibility of a move by talking to the player's camp.
