Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez has revealed who he believes, between FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, will win this year's Ballon d'Or title.

The former Los Blancos forward feels the Portuguese will win the accolade, but also noted that Antoine Griezmann could join Messi and Ronaldo on the podium for the prestigious award.
"I think Cristiano will win the Ballon d'Or," Raul told Cadena Ser.
"I think it will be between Cristiano, (Lionel) Messi and (Antoine Griezmann). They would make up a nice podium.
"The Champions League and Euro 2016 are hugely important, and that is why I think it is Cristiano's year.
"He has a great personality and is very hungry for success. He is more critical of his own performances than anyone else. He always wants what is best for the team and is very demanding.
"All his teammates like him and respect him. I know because I had the opportunity to play alongside him."

Ronaldo has been crowned the world's best player three times in his career, while Messi has won the prize on five occasions.
