At the beginning of the transfer window, the Reds were heavily linked with a move for Bayern Munich star Thiago Alcantara.
Over the past few weeks, though, there have been numerous reports suggesting that Liverpool are not impressed by the £30 million (R683 million) price tag the German giants have put on the midfielder.

Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol recently stated that the former FC Barcelona midfielder would love to play for ex-Borussia Dortmund manager, but Bild are now reporting that a delay from the Reds has allowed Manchester City to enter the mix.
Citizens boss Pep Guardiola managed Thiago during his spells at both Barcelona and Bayern, and it is claimed he could be interested in reuniting with his fellow Spaniard.
