Middendorp deserves more credit
It irks me so much when the first thought is that the coach needs to be fired. It's never the recruitment team, or the actual role players on the field. Always the coach and no one else. I personally hope he doesn't get the chop because he has done so much in such a short time. He dealta with a long break due to the pandemic which has clearly hindered and broke down that winning mentality that he has rebuilt again. Imagine not being competitive to becoming relevant in footballing terms again. His post match comments speaks volumes about playing winning football and building a base and mentality to move up to a style more synonymous with the brand Kaizer Chiefs. I bet all the Amakhosi supporters would take the league title instead of Champagne football now right ?Even when things were going well as a outsider you just had that feeling that the fans did not really believe. They were never happy with the type of football the Glamour boys were displaying. If Middendorp is fired by the time this goes to print then it would have been a terrible footballing injustice. Unlucky coach you've done your utmost.
