Mamelodi Sundowns Co-Coach Rulani Mokwena Appears To Have Predicted Cape Town City's Line-Up Ahead Of MTN8 Final

Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rulani Mokwena may have predicted Cape Town City's starting line-up for the upcoming MTN8 final.

Sundowns are scheduled to take on City in the title decider at Moses Mabhida Stadium and Sundowns have done their homework on how the Mother City outfit could start the game on the day. In a press conference held on Tuesday morning, Mokwena gave his thoughts on how City could line-up, based on how the club has been playing in recent weeks.

GOALKEEPING AND DEFENCE

"You've got Hugo (Marques) in goals. He's got extensive experience and has helped them a bit with build-up. Then there is the left back. (Terrence) Mashego is probably the most in-form left back. He is one of the best in the country and has been deservedly called-up to Bafana Bafana. (Abbubaker) Mobara is probably one of the best centre-halves in the country. There's (Taariq) Fielies is one of the best centre-halves in the country. You've got (Thamsanqa) Mkhize who is one of the best right backs in the country."

MIDFIELD AND ATTACK

"You've got (Thato) Mokeke, who is one of the best deep-lying playmakers in the country. Then you've got (Thabo) Nodada, who's got the highest number of chances created. The same with (Mduduzi) Mdantsane, who is probably one of their most important with I think nine goalscoring contributions with goals and assists. You've got Fagrie Lakay who is on form, (with) two goals in his last four games. He's got speed, directness and ability to play in front of the defensive line and behind the defensive line. (Surprise) Ralani, for me, is probably one of the best players in the league. He has the highest number of dribbles, box entries and chances created. There's a Craig Martin who can play on the line and create double wide situations when they play a back-four and maybe even join the defensive line and create a two-pronged attack with Lakay."

The clash takes place in Durban on Saturday at 18:00.

Will Bafana Bafana make it to the final round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers?
