A hat-trick from Ivorian forward, Salomon Kalou helped Hertha Berlin claim a 3-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach on Friday evening.
The home side broke the deadlock after 18 minutes when Kalou opened his account for the season by heading Mitchell Weiser's cross.
Kalou double Hertha's lead in the 33rd minute, as the Ivorian pounced on a loose clearance, before firing home from close range.
Gladbach were then reduced to 10 men six minutes later when Christopher Kramer picked up his second yellow card of the game.
The score remained 2-0 in favour of the hosts at the halftime break.
The visitors opeted for a change at the start of the second half, as Julian Korb replaced Tobias Strobl for the second stanza.
Gladbach had chances to get on the score-sheet midway through the second half, but the likes of Stindl and Vestergaard were denied by Rune Jarstein.
However, Kalou completed his hat-trick in the 84th minute, as he turned home another cross from Weiser to to round off an impressive victory.
The victory sees Hertha move up to third spot, while remain in 11th position.
