A former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder has predicted that the MTN8 final will end in a 1-0 score line.
Sundowns will appear in their third MTN8 final this weekend when they take on Cape Town City at Moses Mabhida Stadium. Both clubs have been in good scoring form, but Charles Mohlohi has predicted it will be a low-scoring final between the sides on Saturday.
Sundowns last appeared in the final of this competion in 2016, when they were beaten 3-0 by Bidvest Wits. Before that, they lost out on penalties to Kaizer Chiefs in 2008.
"It's going to be a difficult one for Sundowns. Believe me when I say that it's going to be difficult. The score is going to be 1-0, but I can't say if it's going to be Cape Town City or Sundowns," Mohlohi tells the Siya crew.
"If (Peter) Shalulile is there, I have that hope that Sundowns can win the match because I trust that boy. I have a feeling that it will be a 1-0 score line or it can even go to penalties. I don't think it will be a high scoring game. It will be a tight match."
