Mikel Arteta handed official debuts to Brazilian duo Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes while there was no place in the squad for Mesut Ozil or Emiliano Martinez.
The Gunners got the opening goal after nine minutes when Alexandre Lacazette reacted quick to slot home from three-yards after a scramble in the box.
Willian looked to mark his debut with a goal after 26 minutes but his curling free-kick from the edge of the box rattled the upright with Marek Rodák well beaten.
Fulham looked threatening down the flanks at times in the first half but they were unable to test Gunners shot-stopper Bernd Leno in the opening 45 minutes.
The two news Gunners signings combined for the second goal four minutes after the break as Gabriel nodded home Willian's corner.
Willian was involved in the third goal as well as the Brazilian's cross-field pass found Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who curled one into the top corner from close range.
Aubameyang nearly bagged himself a second goal in the 76th minute after being slipped through on goal, but his shot from a tight angle was cleared off the line by Michael Hector.
Fulham, meanwhile, struggled to carve out any clear-cut openings for the remainder of the second half as the Gunners saw eased to an opening day victory for the second season running.
