Teams: Orlando Pirates v AmaZulu
Date: 27 May 2021
Venue: Orlando Stadium
Orlando Pirates will be eager to bounce back from their humiliating CAF Confederation Cup exit when they host AmaZulu on Thursday evening at Orlando Stadium.
The match will get underway at 17h00.
Pirates exited the CAF Confederation Cup in an embarrassing manner in the quarter-finals after a 4-0 defeat in the second-leg on Sunday handed them a 5-1 aggregate loss against Raja Casablanca.
However, the Buccaneers still have a chance of qualifying for either the CAF Champions League or the Confederation Cup despite playing to a goalless draw with Stellenbosch FC the last time out in the league.
Josef Zinnbauer's charges sit fourth on the log, seven points behind second-placed Usuthu and just three points behind third-placed Golden Arrows.
On the other hand, AmaZulu will be fighting to consolidate second position on the log after a 1-0 loss to Baroka just over two weeks ago ended their 16-game unbeaten run. However, A victory for McCarthy's troops will seal a Champions League spot.
The sides could not be separated in the first round meeting after playing to a 1-1 draw in October last year at Jonsson Kings Park Stadium in Durban.
