A former Manchester United star has recalled what superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was like in the dressing room during his days at the Red Devils.

Before Ronaldo's arrival at United in 2003, the highest-profile and arguably most marketable face in the dressing room was David Beckham, who left in the same transfer window the Portuguese arrived in.
Although he took time to adapt to life in England, Ronaldo went on to become one of the best United players in history, spending six years at the club before eventually joining Real Madrid in 2009.

Asked recently how he would compare the Portugal captain's personality to Beckham's, former United forward Diego Forlan claimed Ronaldo was more self-centered than the Englishman was.
"Ronaldo was an egotist in the dressing room – not like Beckham," the Uruguayan told the Daily Mirror.
"Cristiano always wanted to be near a mirror. He spent all day looking in the mirror."

Ronaldo scored 118 times and assisted a further 68 strikes in 292 games for the Red Devils, winning nine trophies along the way.
