Cristiano Ronaldo Breaks Zlatan Ibrahimovic's Incredible Record

Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo broke an impressive record previously held by Zlatan Ibrahimovic after scoring yet again on Sunday afternoon.

The Portuguese forward was on target for the third straight game as the Red Devils defeated West Ham United to extend their unbeaten start to the 2021/22 Premier League season.

With that goal against the Hammers at London Stadium, the 36-year-old has now scored in 66 stadiums since the 2003/04 campaign, which is more than any other player, according to The Sun.

Ibrahimovic was the previous owner of the record, before Ronaldo equalled the record on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League and then made it his own a few days later.

The Portugal talisman will have the chance to extend that record in the Premier League this season, having not scored at a number of current stadiums in England, including Stamford Bridge, Elland Road and Turf Moor.

Ronaldo might have had a couple more goals on the day after being denied two "stonewall" penalties, according to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

"The first one and the third one, I think they are stonewall and you can't even argue against them. The first one, the lad puts his foot out and Cristiano runs straight," Solskjaer told Sky Sports.

"The last one, Paul [Pogba] had a foul against him – Kurt Zouma. He did not touch him but he went over him. So why is Cristiano's third appeal not a penalty?

"I hope it won't be 'Cristiano is never going to get a penalty.'"
