Copa del Rey: Semifinal - First leg Result: Barcelona 7-0 Valencia Date: 3 February 2016 Venue: Camp Nou Luis Suarez scored four, while Lionel Messi netted three in Barcelona's 7-0 thrashing of Valencia in the Copa del Rey semifinals on Wednesday. The Catalans opened the scoring in the seventh minute when Neymar played Suarez through on goal and the Uruguayan guided the ball past Ryan and into the goal. Suarez completed his brace only five minutes later. Turan's long ball was cushioned by Vidal and into the path of the striker who swept it home with supreme confidence. Lionel Messi joined the show in the 29th minute as Barca started running away with it. Neymar flicked the ball on from Andres Iniesta and Suarez dummied it to allow Messi the chance to calmly poke it home. The Catalans came within inches of scoring a fourth when Suarez launched a counter attack which teed up Messi, but his first-time shot hit the crossbar. In first-half stoppage time Barca won a penalty when Messi was brought down in the area by Shkodran Mustafi. The Valencia man was shown a straight red card, but Neymar missed the spot-kick, hitting the post. Messi scored his second goal in the 58th minute. Suarez flicked the ball on for the Argentine who beat a couple of challenges before placing a shot into the back of the net. The Ballon d'Or holder completed his hat-trick in the 74th minute. He dispossessed Parejo before powerfully drilling the ball past Ryan. Suarez completed a hat-trick of his own in the 83rd mintute. Adriano was on the end of a terrific through-ball, allowing him to set it up for Suarez to head home. The Barca forward added a fourth in the 88th minute as the hosts made it 7-0. Turan played it on for Suarez who hit the ball first time to beat the goalkeeper.
