Barcelona assistant director, Charles Rexach has said that football will suffer if FIFA hands transfer bans to Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
New TV Deal Doesn't Favour Real Barca
Barcelona were handed a ban for two transfer windows earlier this season and now it appears that the other two big Spanish clubs could face a similar ban, a possible scenario that Rexach has condemned.
"(FIFA) should absolve everybody," he said to Marca. "Barça have come off worst but the right thing would be to drop it because if we have three clubs that can't making new signings, the walls will come tumbling down on the footballing world."
Rexach went on to discuss Daniel Alves' future at the club, also discussing Luis Enrique's contract situation.
"I'm convinced Alves will stay. I can't see him leaving," he added. "The same with Luis Enrique, he's doing a great job. He'll finish his contract; his numbers are the best ever. What more could we ask for?"
