Carling Black Label Match Report: Kaizer Chiefs 1 (3)- (4) 1 Orlando Pirates 01 August 2015
Carling Black Label Cup   Result: Kaizer Chiefs 1 (3)- (4) 1 Orlando Pirates   Date: 01 August 2015   Venue: FNB Stadium   Orlando Pirates clinched the Carling Black Label Cup title, after beating Kaizer Chiefs 4-3 on penalties.   Despite a cagey opening, the match sprung into life after 15 minutes when Thamsanqa Gabuza was played through on goal, but the striker was thwarted by a fine save from Reyaad Pieterse.   The Chiefs goalkeeper was called upon in the 18th minute, as he palmed away Thabo Rakhale's effort from the edge of the area.   The Buccaneers were rewarded for the better start two minutes later when Sifiso Myeni curled home a wonderful free-kick into the top corner to hand his side the lead.   Pirates were then dealt a blow after 30 minutes when Gabuza had to substituted with an injury. He was replaced by new signing, Tendai Ndoro.   Chiefs were presented with a chance just before the halftime break, when Geroge Lebese picked out David Zulu at the near post, but the striker volleyed wide of the mark.   Chiefs were presented with a glorious chance shortly after the break when Bernard Parker picked out Siphiwe Tshabalala at the far post but the winger headed from six-yards out.   Brighton Mhlongo was called upon after the hour-mark, when he tipped Tshabalala's curling free-kick over the crossbar.   Chiefs eventually leveled matters in the 67th minute, as Reneilwe Letsholonyane collected a cheeky flick from Mthembu, before calmly firing into the bottom corner.   Pirates substitute Luyolo Memela came close to restoring the lead in the 84th minute but Pieterse was equal to the striker's stinging effort.   Neither side could break the deadlock in the remaining stages and the game was sent to a penalty-shootout.   However, it was The Buccaneers who held their nerve to triumph in the shoot-out and clinch Black Label Cup trophy.   Mhlongo made saves from Letsholonyane and Keagan Ritchie, while Patrick Phungwayo missed for Pirates.   Here's how they lined up:   Kaizer Chiefs: Pieterse, Moleko, Gaxa, Xulu, Masilela, Tshabalala, Letsholonyane, Maluleka, Lebese, Zulu, Parker   Orlando Pirates: Mhlongo, Jele, Gumede, Sangweni, Phungwayo, Myeni, Sarr, Manyisa, Rakhale, Gabuza, Majoro
