Bayern continued to dominate the possession stakes throughout the first half and were always in control of proceedings, but they struggled to create chances. Just after the break the visitors looked good when they attacked down the wings and produced an opportunity for Lewandowski, buy his free header was straight at the goalkeeper. Werder conjured up a good chance with 15 minutes to go. A deft backheel from Oztunali helped Ujah get through to have a shot at goal, but his attempt went well wide.
