Robert Lewandowski netted a brace against his former club, Borussia Dortmund, as Bayern Munich romped to a 4-1 win at the Allianz Arena.
Franck Ribery grabbed the lead in a sensational fashion after Philipp Lahm raided down the right flank and cut the ball back to the edge of the box, where the French winger was on hand to fire home with a first-time effort after four minutes.
Lewandowski doubled the lead for the home side after 10 minutes with a fine free-kick from 25-yards out that sailed into the top corner,
However in the 20th minute Raphael Guerreiro pulled one back for the visitors, with the full-back smashing home a half-volley.
The match had a good flow and the Bavarians had the upper hand and the better chances heading into the half-time break.
Four minutes into the second-half, Robben got his name on the score-sheet, as the Dutch winger cut in from the right and faked his first effort before finally drilling his the ball beyond the reach of Roman Burki, 3-1.
Carlo Ancelotti's charges were awarded a penalty in the 68th minute when Lewandowski was brought down by Burki. The Polish striker stepped up and converted the spot-kick to grab his second and Bayern's fourth goal.
With Bayern cruising, Ancelotti introduced the likes of Joshua Kimmich and Douglas Costa for Lewandowski and Ribery after 74 minutes.
The final ten minutes saw the Bavarians pass the ball around with confidence, as they saw out the rest of the match with relative ease.
