A Look At The Possible Starting Lineups For The MTN8 Final

Just a few hours remain before the MTN8 final kicks off, Soccer Laduma looks at the players who could line up for the sides in the starting 11.

City have realied on Hugo Marques in goal and that's unlikely to change going into this game. Marques has done well since joining the club and will have a big role to play in trying to deny the Sundowns attackers. For Sundowns, Denis ONyango is firm favourite to start and his experience of playing in cup finals will come in handy.

The central defence will be key for both sides. City have recently relied on Abbubaker Mobara and Taariq Fielies in that position. Mosa Lebusa and Grant Kekana could start for Sundowns in central defence. At left back, Terrence Mashego is a favourite and Sundowns usually go for the in-form Lyle Lakay in that position. Sundowns could give Khuliso Mudau a start at right back, while City's Thamsanqa Mkhize is likely to start in that position, though it's not clear if he is fully fit to play.

Rivaldo Coetzee and Andile Jali are favourites to start in the middle of the park, with the possibility of coming up against City's Thato Mokeke and Thabo Nodada. On the flanks, the Citizens are likely to start with Craig Martin and Surprise Ralani, with Sundowns calling on Themba Zwane and Thabiso Kutumela as part of a three man attack.

Sundowns key man Peter Shalulile is a favourite to start upfront and will cause a lot of problems. Mduduzi Mdantsane and Fagrie Lakay will possibility start in attack for the Citizens.
