In the club's 142-year history, only seven players from the South American nation have pulled on the Red Devils shirt – and all of them did so since the year 2003.
United are understood to be in talks with FC Porto over the services of attacking left-back Telles, who has scored 26 goals and assisted another 56 strikes in 193 appearances for the Portuguese giants.
The 27-year-old has made only one appearance for the Selecao so far, but this will not surprise many with the likes of Marcelo and Alex Sandro ahead of him in the pecking order.
Telles could become the eighth Brazilian to play for United, joining Fred and Andreas Pereira in the current squad.
Arguably the most loved Brazilian at Old Trafford was Rafael da Silva. The right-back made 170 appearances for the Red Devils, helping them win three Premier League titles, the League Cup, three Community Shields and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Anderson is the Brazil star who spent the longest time at the club, with his stint lasting from 2007 until 2015. The midfielder featured in 181 games for the Mancunians, with his most notable moment coming in the 2007/08 UEFA Champions League final, when he converted a penalty in United's shootout win.
Overall, Anderson won four Premier League titles, one League Cup, two Community Shields, one Champions League trophy and one FIFA Club World Cup during his time at Old Trafford.
