A few questions have come up to who will be the next player to get given the number next, but according to Transfermarkt all of the above have donned the jersey.
Arguably the most famous out of the lot was Portugal superstar Luis Figo. The 44-year-old made a controversial move to the Santiago Bernabeu from FC Barcelona in 2000 for a fee of €60 million (R923 million). Some like to say that his arrival sparked Florentino Pérez's "Galactico" era, which saw the likes of Ronaldo and David Beckham join them.
To this day, former Netherlands international Clarence Seedorf is seen as one of the club best buys, as he helped the team win La Liga and the UEFA Champions League in his first season. The 41-year-old signed from Sampdoria in 1995 and cost the Spanish side €8.6 million (R131 million).
Another player to make the controversial move from the Blaugrana to Los Blancos was Michael Laudrup and strangely enough, he too wore the no. 10 jersey. The Denmark international spent only two years at the club but made 62 appearances in total.
