Shakes Mashaba In Equatorial Guinea For 2015 AFCON Draw

Award-winning Bafana Bafana coach, Ephraim 'Shakes' Mashaba, is in Equatorial Guinea for the draw of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

Mashaba To Invite Trio For Bafana Camp?

Mashaba successfully helped Bafana qualify for next year's AFCON, following an impressive qualifying campaign with no losses in a group that featured Nigeria, Congo Brazzaville and Sudan.

Shakes was rewarded with the Coach of the Year accolade at the South African Sport Awards in Sandton on Sunday night.

The Head of Communications at the South African Football Association, Dominic Chimhavi, confirmed on his official Twitter account that Mashaba is already in Malabo for the draw.  

"AFCON 2015 draw takes place in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea tomorrow, Wednesday 3 Dec 2014. @BafanaBafana coach Mashaba is already in Malabo," Chimhavi tweeted.

Chimhavi confirmed to Soccer Laduma that the international friendly match between Bafana and Algeria will be determined by tomorrow night's AFCON group draw.

Phungwayo: It Was A Big Stage

Bafana are expected to play a competitive friendly match ahead of the AFCON finals.
