A former Kaizer Chiefs player, who is currently unattached to a club, will be heading to the Africa Cup of Nations after being named in the latest squad for his country's national team.

Uganda have named their squad for the upcoming tournament to be played in Egypt, and in their team, head coach Sebastien Desabre has included Godfrey Walusumbi, among other players.

The Uganda Cranes head coach has released his final squad for camp in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates in preparation of the AFCON.

Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Onyango, who missed out to SuperSport United's Ronwen Williams for the Absa Premiership Goalkeeper of the Season award, has been named in the Ugandan squad as the coach opted for both local and foreign-based players.

Maritzburg United's Allan Kateregga, who is currently involved in the relegation/promotion play-offs with the KwaZulu-Natal outfit, has also been named in the squad.
