If SelectedSouth African have been drawn into Group C, along with Ghana, Algeria and Senegal, in what has been deemed the group of death. However, Coach Mashaba is unshaken as he believes five points will be enough to see Bafana through to the quarterfinals in Equatorial Guinea.

He told the Siya crew that all the 16 teams in the competition are capable of winning the trophy and the group games will matter most, creating momentum for the side.

"If we can get five points from the three games in our group, then we are through to the next round, but it doesn't mean we will just go for the five points. We will fight for more than that and make sure we go past the group stage and take it from there.

"You know all the teams in the tournament are good, even the hosts, as no one knows much about them. Don't write any team off. Every team is capable of doing well and winning the tournament," Mashaba explained.
