Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers Wrap 24 March 2016

Ghana 3-1 Mozambique   Ghana recorded a comfortable win over Mozambique in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, Group H clash on Thursday.   The Black Stars took the lead in the fifth minute as Frank Acheampong found the back of the net. John Boye and Jordan Ayew then scored in the 56th and 58th minutes to make it 3-0. Apson Manjate could only net a consolation goal for the visitors.   Madagascar 1-1 Central African Republic   Carolus Andriamahitsinoro broke the deadlock for the hosts in the 78th minute as he netted a penalty. However, Moussa Limane provided the equaliser for the visitors in the 85th minute.   Madagascar are bottom of Group B with two points while the Central African Republic are second with four.   Comoros 1-0 Botswana   Ben Mohamed was on target for the hosts as they narrowly beat Botswana in Group D.    Despite the win, Comoros remain rooted at the bottom of the group, while Botswana are second.   Djibouti 0-1 Liberia   Mamelodi Sundowns striker Anthony Laffor produced the decisive strike for Liberia in the 77th minute as they edged out Djibouti.   The win sees Liberia sit in second position in Group A, level on points with first-placed Togo. Djibouti are bottom of the group with zero points.
