2017 Africa Cup Of Nations Qualifying Wrap

Uganda 1-0 Comoros

Uganda qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in 37 years, after securing a 1-0 win over Comoros thanks to a solitary strike from Farouk Miya.

Burkina Faso 2-1 Botswana

Burkina Faso secured their ticket to Gabon, after claiming a 2-1 win over Botswana in their final Group D game. Goals form Prejuce Nakoulma (18th) and Banou Diawara (90) sealed the win and qualification.

Malawi 1-0 Swaziland

Gerald Phiri Jr's eighth minute strike was enough to hand Malawi a 1-0 win over Swaziland in their final Group L qualifier. Both nations have failed to qualify for the Afcon.

Guinea 1-0 Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe ended their qualifying campaign with a 1-0 loss to Guinea on Sunday evening. The Zimbabweans have already qualified for Afcon.

Tunisia 4-1 Liberia

Tunisia secured their ticket to the 2017 Afcon after they thumped Liberia 4-1 in their final Group A game.

Togo 5-0 Djibouti

Togo have qualified for the tournament as one of the best runners-up, after they thrashed Djibouti 5-0 in their final Group C qualifier on Sunday evening.

Algeria 6-0 Lesotho

Algeria ended their campaign with a 6-0 demolition of Lesotho on Sunday evening. Riyad Mahrez and El Arbu Soudani contributed with a braces, while Saphir Taider and Ryad Boudebouz also registered their names on the score-sheet.

16 qualified teams: Gabon, Cameroon, Algeria, Zimbabwe, Tunisia, Togo, DRC, Mali, Burkina Faso, Uganda, Guinea-Bissau, Morocco, Egypt, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal.
