Sergio Aguero had a first-half penalty saved as Pep Guardiola's men suffered a 1-0 loss to Spurs in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday night, courtesy of a late strike by Heung-Min Son.
Despite their positive result, the Lilywhites were dealt a massive injury blow when Kane came off second best in a challenge with Delph in the 58th minute of the encounter and was unable to continue.
In addressing the situation, Pochettino, who was seen having an exchange with Delph after the final whistle, stressed his belief that there was no malicious intent from either player in the incident.

"Fabian was very disappointed with that situation," the Argentine told BT Sport.
"He was so aggressive with Harry after the action, I tried to make him understand that it wasn't an intention to damage each other, it was just a tough action.
"He stepped on his ankle. I said to him that he was lucky, because checking on VAR maybe technically it was a red card.
"I've seen the action, both were very strong in the action but both didn't have the intention to make damage to the other.
"That's why I tried to talk to him, he was very upset with the aggressive action. They were both fighting for the ball without the intention to damage each other."

Pochettino also suggested that Kane could miss the remainder of the 2018/19 campaign, having injured the same ankle that kept him sidelined for seven games at the beginning of the year.
