The 34-year-old scored all three goals in his side's 3-0 win over Atletico to eliminate the Rojiblancos 3-2 on aggregate.
In doing so, Ronaldo took his tally against Atletico to 25 goals, making the Spanish side his second favourite opponent behind Sevilla, whom he has netted 27 goals against.
Many had written the Portuguese forward and Juventus off after their 2-0 defeat in the first leg, but the striker was seemingly not prepared to give up, and apparently even predicted his own masterclass.
According to Marca, ahead of the second leg, Ronaldo told close friends and family that "Juventus will progress and that he'll score a hat-trick".
Both predictions became reality as he scored his eighth treble in Champions League history, equalling the competition record held by Lionel Messi.
Ronaldo's masterclass helped Juventus overturn a 2-0 deficit from a first leg for the first time in the club's history, as per Opta Sports.
