UEFA Champions League
Teams: Manchester United vs FC Barcelona
Date: 10 April
Venue: Old Trafford
Time: 21:00
The two European giants meet for the first time in eight years, with the Catalan giants having won both of the previous two clashes, namely the 2009 and 2011 Champions League finals.
United, though, have the upper hand in two-legged knockout ties after advancing in both previous meetings.
The Red Devils produced a memorable display in the last 16 when they became the first side to overturn a 2-0 home defeat after beating PSG 3-1 courtesy of a last-minute penalty from Marcus Rashford. Barca, meanwhile, knocked Olympique Lyon out following a comprehensive 5-1 home victory in the second leg.
As a consequence, the Catalan giants qualified for an unprecedented 12th successive quarter-final. However, their past three campaigns ended at this stage of the competition, with AS Roma, Juventus and Atletico Madrid getting the better of Messi and company.
The Argentine, who has a great record on English soil, has scored two goals in four games against United so far.

At Old Trafford, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are still unbeaten against the Blaugrana, picking up two wins and two draws, but Barcelona also inflicted United's heaviest defeat in European competition when a brace by former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Hristo Stoichkov inspired a 4-0 thumping at the Camp Nou in the 1994/95 group stage.
United have suffered a recent dip in form, which saw them lose three of their past four games in all competitions, and they have struggled at home in recent European ties, winning just one of their past five clashes at Old Trafford. Barca, meanwhile, have lost just one of their past 17 games in all competitions.
