UEFA Champions League
Teams: Juventus vs Atletico Madrid
Date: 12 March
Venue: Allianz Stadium
Time: 22:00
The clash at the Wanda Metropolitano looked destined to end in a 0-0 draw, but late goals by centre-back pairing Jose Gimenez and Diego Godin gave Atletico a comfortable cushion for the second leg.
Both teams have met thrice in European competitions so far, but Juventus are yet to score against the Rojiblancos, who have won twice and drawn once against the Italian giants.
Juve, though, will take confidence from the fact that they have won 14 of the 32 UEFA ties in which they lost the first leg away from home. Atletico, meanwhile, have progressed in 30 of their 37 European ties in which they won the first leg at home.
All eyes will be on Juventus superstar Ronaldo, who is the competition's all-time record gosalscorer and has scored 22 goals in 31 games against Atletico Madrid.
This season, however, Ronaldo has just scored once in the Champions League, but he does have good memories of his last knockout stage appearance at the Allianz Stadium, when he famously scored a superb bicycle kick for Real Madrid.

Juve will miss the suspended Alex Sandro, while Sami Khedira, Juan Cuadrado and Douglas Costa are all out injured. The visitors will have to do without Diego Costa and Thomas Partey, who are both suspended, while Filipe Luis and Lucas Hernandez are sidelined due to injuries.
