Liverpool thrashed Maribor 7-0 in Slovenia to earn their biggest European away victory.
The Reds got off to a great start after poor build up play from Maribor saw them surrender possession in a dangerous area. Mohamed Salah raced away with the ball and crossed for Roberto Firmino, who clinically converted to give his side the lead after four minutes.
Two minutes later, Phillipe Coutinho doubled the Reds' lead through a neat finish before Salah was at hand to make it three for his side and stun the home crowd.
Jurgen Klopp's men were looking to run riot in the game and were in full control despite being away from home. Great interplay saw the ball played into the box and was put away into an empty net by Salah for his second and his team's fourth in the half.
After a great display from the visitors, the first half ended 4-0 with the Reds in the driving seat.
The second half had a similar feel to the first, with Liverpool dominant and dictating play. Coutinho earned a free-kick outside the box, dusted himself off and troubled Maribor keeper Jasmin Handanovic who repelled the ball away from danger.
Liverpool earned another free-kick, this time Coutinho delivering a cross into the box which was guided in by the head of Firminho into the back of the net for Liverpool's fifth goal.
It was all Liverpool in a match that was all too comfortable for the visitors. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain got his first goal in a Liverpool shirt as his neat finish put his side 6-0 in front after 88 minutes.
The final result was 7-0 after Alexander Trent-Arnold took a shot from distance that found it's way to the back of the net as the Reds claimed their biggest away victory in European football and their first of the current campaign.
