A stoic defensive performance saw Juventus hold Monaco to a goalless draw in their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal, second leg match at the Stade Louis II on Wednesday night.
The result sees Juventus into the seimifinals of the competition after winning the two leg tie 1-0 on aggregate.
Monaco started brightly and had a shot on goal as early as the sixth minute, but Geoffrey Kondogbia's thunderous long range shot sailed inches wide of the post.
Ten minutes later Andrea Barzagli was lucky not to turn the ball into his own net as the Juventus defender cleared a low left wing cross away from under his own crossbar.
Monaco continued to press forward and came close again to scoring in the 20th minute, but this time Kondogbia's powerful 25-yard shot was well-saved by the keeper.
Juventus were virtually non-existent in attack in the opening half, but had decent effort on goal in the dying minute when Carlos Tevez spun into space, but lashed wide from just inside the box.
The second half saw Juventus with an epic defensive performance.
Monaco dominated the possession stakes and dictated the flow of the game, but could not break down a stubborn Juventus defence.
The closes Monaco came to a goal in the second 45 arrived on the hour mark when a loose ball fell to Bernardo Silva on the edge of the box, but he fired inches wide of the Juventus goal.
The home side spent the final half hour throwing men forward, but they could not find a goal as Juventus squeezed into the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League.
