The Spaniard since reached his first UEFA Champions League semi-final since taking charge of the Premier League side after beating Borussia Dortmund 4-2 on aggregate in the quarter-finals.
However, despite his team's superior display, Guardiola could not hide his admiration for opposition player Jude Bellingham, who became the second-youngest player ever to score in a Champions League knockout game with his strike in the second leg.
"I cannot believe it, maybe he's a liar!" the tactician said after the game, as quoted by the Mirror.
"He's so good for 17 years old, he's a fantastic player.
"There was one moment when he didn't get the ball from central defenders, how he shouts and demands that ball to him at 17 means a lot.
"I spoke with his manager, Edin (Terzic), and he told me what you see in these two games is like every training session."
Guardiola was also full of praise for his own young star Phil Foden, with the 20-year-old having scored both of City's winners in the first and second legs of the quarter-final tie.
"You have the feeling that he is a guy who never hides, he always creates something," he added.
"He scored two important goals, the second goal in the Etihad and today helped us to be in the semi-final.
"He grew up. In the quarter-final of the Champions League, he was the important player to go through to play against Paris Saint-Germain."
City will now face Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals, while Chelsea will meet Real Madrid in the other clash.
