Argentine striker Mauro Icardi became the first non-Juventus player since Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2011 to be named the Player of the Season.
Icardi was in red-hot form in the past campaign, scoring 29 goals in 34 appearances for Inter Milan, and received his trophy at the Gran Gala del Calcio ceremony, as reported by Football Italia.
The forward was also awarded the trophy for the Goal of the Season and voted into the Team of the 2017/18 campaign.
Joao Cancelo, who spent the 2017/18 season on loan at Inter from Valencia last season but has since joined Juventus, is the only other Nerazzurri player who made the XI.
Serie A champions Juventus have four representatives in the 2017/18 best XI, namely: Giorgio Chiellini, Alex Sandro, Miralem Pjanic and Paulo Dybala.
Lazio duo Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile were also included, while ex-Roma stars Alisson Becker and Radja Nainggolan, and Napoli and Senegal defender Kalidou Koulibaly complete the line-up.
