The 28-year-old has penned a three-year deal with Roma following his free-agent departure from the Bianconeri, for whom he scored 115 goals in 293 appearances in seven seasons.
Before his exit was confirmed, it appeared the Old Lady had decided against offering Dybala a new contract due to the club's financial situation and wage demands made by the attacking midfielder.
Dybala, however, says he was informed in March that he would not be a part of Massimiliano Allegri's plans going forward, which forced him to then have to find a new club.
"With Juve, it was not a financial problem," he said, according to Reuters.
"We had a deal to sign in October, then the club asked us to wait and in March told me that I would have not been part of their future plans.
"The club took a different decision together with the coach."
Dybala seemed to be close to joining Inter Milan after he and Juve officially parted ways, but that transfer fell through following the Nerazzurri's decision to bring Romelu Lukaku back on loan for the coming season.
