Official: Jose Mourinho's AS Roma sign Arsenal star on loan

AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho has raided Arsenal for his first signing of the January transfer window.

The Serie A outfit have confirmed the signing of Ainsley Maitland-Niles on loan for the remainder of the 2021/2022 season.

Maitland-Niles, who is able to play in multiple positions, will wear the No.15 jersey for the Rome outfit.

"I am just delighted to be here and can't wait to crack on," the 24-year-old told the club's official website.

"I want to help the team and show what I can do as a player.

"Thank you to the fans for the support they've already shown me - I hope we can go on to do something great by the end of the season."
