Official: Franck Ribery Joins Surprise Top-Flight Club At Age 38

Former Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery has found a new top-flight club for the 2021/22 season at the age of 38.

The French winger was a free agent after parting ways with Fiorentina at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.

However, Ribery will remain in the top tier of Italian football after joining Serie A new boys Salernitana on a one-year deal.

The 38-year-old could make his debut for his new team on Sunday afternoon, when Salernitana travel to Turin to take on Torino.

Ribery registered two goals and seven assists in 29 appearances for Fiorentina last season.

Salernitana have brought in a number of experienced professionals for their return to the top flight, with the likes of Joel Obi and Riccardo Gagliolo having also recently joined the club.
