The agent of former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has provided an update on the midfielder's fitness ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Messi Reveals Big FIFA World Cup Fear
The 29-year-old has not played a single minute of competitive football for Juventus since his arrival as a free agent at the start of the campaign after suffering a knee injury that has kept him sidelined since pre-season.
There was a major worry that Pogba would be unavailable for France at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar as a result, although it was reported in recent weeks that he is running ahead of schedule in his recovery.
His agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has since confirmed that the Frenchman will soon make a full return to fitness, which is positive news for Didier Deschamps, Les Bleus and struggling Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri.
"The nightmare is finally over," she told Tuttosport.
"Pogba will be Juventus' new leader very soon."
The former United player was key for France as they won the World Cup in Russia four years ago, scoring in his nation's 4-2 win over Croatia in the final.
Pogba has been capped on 91 occasions for Les Bleus since his senior debut in 2013, a year before winning the World Cup Golden Boy trophy in Brazil in 2014.
