SHOCK: Juventus 'Transfer-List' 8 Stars

SHOCK: Juventus 'Transfer-List' 8 Stars

Juventus have reportedly transfer-listed eight stars.

In a surprising turn of events, it has been reported that Juventus' new manager wants to sell as many as eight of the club's stars before the end of the window.

After almost a decade of dominance in Serie A, the Bianconeri have now gone four seasons without lifting the Scudetto.

Juve decided to part ways with legendary club manager Massimiliano Allegri at the end of the 2023/24 season, and have consequently appointed former midfielder Thiago Motta to replace him.

The incoming 41-year-old tactician is seemingly taking drastic steps in an attempt to help the Old Lady return to the summit of Italian football, and is ready to make wholesale changes to the squad.

According to the Daily Mail, Motta plans to get rid of as many as eight stars in this window.

Federico Chiesa, Wojciech Szczesny, Weston McKennie, Arthur Melo, Mattia De Sciglio, Daniele Rugani, Filip Kostic and Hans Nicolussi-Caviglia are all understood to have been transfer-listed in order to make way for new players to arrive at the Allianz Stadium.

Speaking after Juve's latest 2-2 pre-season friendly draw with Brest, Motta said in a post-match press conference: "They are out of the project and they have to find new club. We are convinced this is the best decision possible."

Chiesa is perhaps the highest-profile name among those transfer-listed as there were big expectations on the winger when he made his way to Turin in 2020.

Unfortunately for him, his time with the record Italian champions has been plagued by injury, with Motta having confirmed that his absence from their pre-season preparations was due to the club trying to sell the Manchester United- and Tottenham Hotspur-linked star.

"Yes, Chiesa's absence is related to the market. This is both for Federico and the others who remained in Turin, with the exception of [Fabio] Miretti who is injured," the former Bologna manager said.

"We made it clear after speaking with all the lads. We have strong players, accustomed to continuity.

"At this moment, the club is looking for solutions elsewhere, they must find them as soon as possible for everyone's sake."
