According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the club's owners held showdown talks with the veteran manager after Roma threw away a 3-1 lead against the Bianconeri on Sunday.
Their collapse came in the second half when Massimiliano Allegri's team scored three goals in just seven minutes to complete an incredible comeback.
Mourinho has now lost nine times in 21 games in Serie A since his return to Italy, with pressure now seriously mounting on the former Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur boss.
Following Roma's worst start to a league season in 43 years, the club's management reportedly met with him on Monday, though there is no intention to replace him yet.
During the discussions, Mourinho was believed to outline his thoughts and intentions, and provide a detailed plan to take the team forward. It is further suggested that his stance was backed by Roma's hierarchy, who are happy for the Portuguese tactician to continue.
