The Portuguese tactician got his hands on a fifth European title thanks to a Nicolo Zaniolo first-half goal in Roma's 1-0 win over Dutch side PSV Eindhoven, continuing his exploits in continental competitions, having previously won two UEFA Champions League titles, the UEFA Super Cup and UEFA Europa League.
In a post-match press conference, Mourinho revealed he has no other plans but to remain head coach of Roma, before dropping a hint as to how the club's owners can help him create something unique at the Giallorossi.
"I am staying, there's no doubt about that," he told Sky Sports.
"We need to see what our owners, who are fantastic people, want to do next season because this is history, but we can build a special project.
"Now I'm going to go on holiday, sit on the beach and think about it all for a while."
The ex-Chelsea and Manchester United boss also said he understood just how important Roma was to its fans.

"I've been at Roma for 11 months, I knew the moment I arrived what it meant to the people. They had been waiting for something like this," he added.
"This was not work tonight, this was history. We had to write history. We wrote it."
Mourinho has previously stated he will honour his contract in Rome until 2024, with reports having linked with him Newcastle United in the Premier League.
