Inter Star Responds To Chelsea & Man Utd Interest

Denzel Dumfries and Theo Hernandez

Amid speculation linking him with a potential move to Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea, an Inter Milan star has now reacted to the reported interest from the English top-flight clubs.

Price Tag Revealed For Dortmund Star Bellingham?

Denzel Dumfries has made a big impression on the football fraternity ever since bursting on to the scene at the 2020 UEFA European Championships with the Netherlands.

A move to Inter from PSV Eindhoven followed his impressive showings at the continental showpiece, and his stock has only continued to rise.

The right-back has endeared himself to the Nerazzurri faithful by continuing his notable displays in the famous blue and black of Inter, with the 26-year-old's durability seeing him miss only five games for the 19-time Italian champions during his first season in Italy, in which he racked up five goals and five assists in Serie A.

The Rotterdam native's sparkling performances at the San Siro have continued this season, with his two goals and one assist to date reportedly garnering the attention of United and Chelsea.

However, while Dumfries appreciates being linked with clubs as big as those, he insists he is not distracted by the rumours.

"The interest flatters me, of course. But my focus is only on Inter," he told De Telegraaf.

"We want to win the Scudetto because we lost it last season."

The Blues spent a lot of money on defensive reinforcements in the latest transfer window with their acquisitions of Kalidou Koulibaly, Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella, but seem keen to bolster even further with the acquisition of Dumfries., with new manager Graham Potter reportedly a massive admirer of the Dutchman.

Man Utd's First Signing For Next Season Already Lined Up?

It was well known that 13-time Premier League champions United were in the market for a right-back over the past few months but because they were unable to get Aaron Wan-Bissaka off their books, Erik ten Hag reportedly decided to prioritise other positions.
