Having brought in Romelu Lukaku on a season-long loan for this campaign, Inter Milan have reportedly come to a decision regarding the Belgian forward's future at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

The 29-year-old returned to the home of the only Italian treble winners at the beginning of the season after spending a single underwhelming year back at Chelsea in the 2021/22 campaign.
The Blues broke their club transfer record to bring the Antwerp native back to west London when they paid Inter €113 million (R2.1 billion) for his signature, but received little return on that investment as the striker only found the back of the net 15 times in 44 appearances.
With injuries having hampered his form in this campaign, however, Lukaku has scored just two goals in 11 appearances for the Serie A giants.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, though, Inter have decided they still want to keep Belgium's all-time top goalscorer on their books, with negotiations with the Premier League side being planned for March.
While manager Simone Inzaghi wants to keep the forward on his roster, it will likely to not be on a permanent basis as the club is said to be looking to finalise yet another loan, this time for a reduced price.
Inter had to pay Chelsea €11 million (R209 million) to have Lukaku in their ranks for this campaign, but now the three-time European champions want that figure halved.
