Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been subjected to some stunning criticism from one of his former AC Milan teammates, who believes the Swede did not contribute to the Rossoneri's 2021/22 Serie A title win.
The Sweden international re-signed for Milan in 2020 following a two-year spell with Los Angeles Galaxy in the MLS, with many at the time not imagining the success he would have upon his return to European football.
Since penning his latest deal with the Italian giants, Ibrahimovic has scored 36 goals in 74 matches across all competitions, although this past campaign saw the 40-year-old suffer long spells on the sidelines due to injury.
His celebrations after the Rossoneri's league-winning campaign included poking fun at Hakan Calhanoglu, who left Milan to join rivals Inter Milan in 2021, but the Turk believes his ex-colleague played no role in the Italian champions' success.
"He is a 40-year-old man, not 18, so I wouldn't do that sort of thing at his age," he told Tivibu Spor.
"He just likes being the centre of attention. He didn't contribute to the Scudetto this season, he barely played, but will do everything to be the focus anyway.
"Besides, he is the one who always calls me up, asks me to go out to dinner or for a motorbike ride.
"He wrote about me in his book too. He had to write something, or it would've been blank pages.
"It's best not to bother, honestly."
Ibrahimovic scored eight league goals and assisted a further three strikes for Milan in the 2021/22 campaign.
