Di Maria 'Decides' On Club Future

Angel Di Maria has reportedly made a decision regarding his future at Juventus.

With Angel Di Maria's contract at Juventus set to expire in just over a month, the talismanic Argentine has reportedly made a decision about where he wants to play his football next season.

Aside from being a part of Argentina's 2022 FIFA World Cup-winning squad, the 2022/23 campaign has perhaps been an erratic one for the Rosario native.

The winger signed for Juve at the beginning of the season, but initially struggled with injury. Couple that with the fact that the Bianconeri found themselves in yet another scandal concerning falsified transactions, and it seemed the 35-year-old's debut campaign in Serie A was on the verge of ending catastrophically.

However, things have taken a turn for the better for the Argentine as he has found form for the Old Lady, especially in the UEFA Europa League.

The attacker has four goals in six appearances for the Italian giants in Europe's second tier competition, and with the club having had their 15-point deduction reversed, Juve look poised for a return to the UEFA Champions League next season as they currently sit in second position in the league.

Should the record Scudetto winners successfully qualify for Europe's premier club competition next year, Di Maria will be hoping to be part of their continental campaign as the Argentine wants to ink a one-year extension with the Turin-based side, according to Fichajes.

The former Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain star is synonymous with winning trophies and rising to the occasion in big matches, and is reportedly hoping he can help lead Juve to more of those in the 2023/24 campaign.

It has been rumoured that the skilful attacker could return to his native Argentina to finish his career with Rosario Central, but it seems the decorated winger will continue his European adventure for at least one more season.
